Pantry at Number 5

Pantry at No 5 Bridgehall

I popped down to visit The Pantry at No 5 in Bridgehall recently and it was great to meet all the volunteers. The Pantry is delivering fantastic savings on shopping for people in Bridgehall, and now has almost 150 local people signed up. Here I am with Alison Douglas, one of the volunteers that the scheme relies on.

Adswood Primary School Headteacher, Kath Conwell, retires at the end of this term after 11 wonderful years and I went into school to thank her for all she has done to give so many children a love of learning.

Visiting Noah Arts Festival at St George’s Church

I was really pleased to visit the Noah Festival at St George’s Church earlier this month. The Noah Festival was a successful week-long arts festival in the church, which featured fabulous artistic and craft contributions from local schools, nurseries and community groups, including an amazing ark and rainbow that was built and designed by pupils at St George’s C of E Primary School.
