Sexual Exploitation Inquiry launched

Ann Coffey MP today urged young people, victims, their families and the whole community to give her their views about what more can be done to prevent child sexual exploitation in Greater Manchester.

Ms Coffey has been asked by Tony Lloyd, the Police and Crime Commissioner for Greater Manchester, to conduct an inquiry into responses to child sexual exploitation following the shocking Rochdale sexual grooming case.

Tony Lloyd also urged people to give Ms Coffey their views.

Beechwood Cancer Care

Beechwood Cancer Care centre held a Christmas lunch as a thank you to all their hard working volunteers. It is always good to witness and experience the positive effects of Beechwood.


I visited the Butterfly Family Centre at Beechwood, which offers counselling to families, including children affected by cancer or bereavement. This therapeutic centre was built following a fantastic effort by Beechwood. I was shown around by Christine Cotter, Family Counsellor.
