Celebrating National Employee Ownership Day

I was delighted to visit Rowlinson Knitwear earlier this month on National Employee Ownership Day (1st July) to celebrate the company’s employee-owned status.

Rowlinson Knitwear is a specialist knitwear company based on Woodbank Mills, off Turncroft Lane and the firm has been employee-owned since last year. I was thrilled to attend the celebratory event, which included a special balloon release.

Meeting Stockport Cancer Ambassadors in Westminster

Last week, I got the chance to meet up with local Stockport residents, Mark Angus and Sarah Lloyd, in Westminster for Cancer Research UK’s Parliament day. Mark and Sarah are both volunteer ambassadors for Cancer Research UK and they spoke to me about the new campaign by Cancer Research UK to remove junk food advertising from TV before the 9pm watershed.
